this blog resurrects,

Apology to Aborginals

"In my own country there is a saying in Sanskrit,
"Yatra nayra pujyante tatra ramante devata", which means that
"Where the women are respected and respectable,
there resides the Gods of our well-being"

The listening to and the respecting of our Aboriginal Mothers in our parliment for the first time was perhaps of highest importance, and reminiscent of the great significance of needing to do so, as highlighted in the Mahabharata.

The English Translation goes like this :

Mother, I bow to thee!
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
bright with orchard gleams,
Cool with thy winds of delight,
Dark fields waving Mother of might,
Mother free.
Glory of moonlight dreams,
Over thy branches and lordly streams,
Clad in thy blossoming trees,
Mother, giver of ease
Laughing low and sweet!
Mother I kiss thy feet,
Speaker sweet and low!
Mother, to thee I bow.

Who hath said thou art weak in thy lands
When the sword flesh out in the seventy million hands
And seventy million voices roar
Thy dreadful name from shore to shore?
With many strengths who art mighty and stored,
To thee I call Mother and Lord!
Though who savest, arise and save!
To her I cry who ever her foeman drove
Back from plain and Sea
And shook herself free.

Thou art wisdom, thou art law,
Thou art heart, our soul, our breath
Though art love divine, the awe
In our hearts that conquers death.
Thine the strength that nervs the arm,
Thine the beauty, thine the charm.
Every image made divine
In our temples is but thine.

Thou art Durga, Lady and Queen,
With her hands that strike and her
swords of sheen,
Thou art Lakshmi lotus-throned,
And the Muse a hundred-toned,
Pure and perfect without peer,
Mother lend thine ear,
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
Bright with thy orchard gleems,
Dark of hue O candid-fair
In thy soul, with jewelled hair
And thy glorious smile divine,
Lovilest of all earthly lands,
Showering wealth from well-stored hands!
Mother, mother mine!
Mother sweet, I bow to thee,
Mother great and free!

Shri Mataji's Arrival

vidya suresh – uae collective describes Her arrival in Dubai, poetically:

MOTHER’S ARRIVAL INTO DUBAI

It was a warm night with very little or no breeze

All my sahaji brothers and sisters had gathered outside the airport

To welcome our dear loving mother

And to steal a glimpse of mother’s beautiful face and glittering smile

We were all singing – mataji , mataji, your face shines like a thousand suns

Joy, excitement and happiness filled our hearts

A feeling of bliss enveloped all of us

As we were all going into thoughtlessness, we could feel

The sudden increase in the flow of vibrations

We knew that mother had arrived

A waft of cool breeze swept all of us

We kept singing mataji, mataji, your face shines like a thousand suns

We saw a beautiful car coming out from the insides

Yes, our most dearest loving and wonderful mother was in it

With our dear loving papaji and a few sahaji brothers

She was so radiant, like the rays of the early morning sunshine

Not a trace of fatigue on her moon lit face

I do not have any words to describe how very beautiful she was looking

Tears of joy welled up my throat and kept flowing like the deep waters of a waterfall

It was like seeing a mother after aeons of separation

She was full of smiles and with her hands together saying namaste to all us

Her smile was so full of warmth and love and compassion

I was just mesmerized in it; she kept smiling ………………………..

She was so happy to see all of us

As mother slowly went past us in her car to the house

I was still choked with joy and happiness

And tears still continued to fall down my cheeks and face

She is the sweetest mother that anyone of us could be blessed with

Her dazzling smile and that love that was glorifying her face

Will always remain in my inner self.

Nigerian Tour

From Obi:

Brothers and sisters, I have just returned from Nigeria where I went to inform and prepare the small collectives for the first ever tour. The tour is now a Europe-wide arrangement. Five Yogis from Europe have given their strong indication to be on the tour. We have not yet, and I think we should now begin to register our intention to be included so that plans will b e tailored accordingly. Initially I thought maybe we can leave this first tour for the men only, but Europe have overruled that. So Yogis and yoginis alike are invited on the tour and there are up to 15 places for us.

Sahaja Yoga has been invited to deliver a speech at a United Nations conference in Abuja Nigeria. Dr. Ramesh from Australia will be on the tour and will do the Abuja speech. This conference will have two thousand students in attendance. We will have public programs and followups in Abuja around the time of the speech.

We have seven places in the country to visit. At each, they will be well advertised public programs. So it is hoped those coming will be able to sqeeze two weeks for this tour. Tentatively, we hope to arrive Lagos for the 20th of October.

One thing about why we all need two weeks. Nigeria is a large country and the tour will take us far and wide. We want to avoid a situation where, while gone deep in the country as a group, some people have to retreat to Lagos because thier stay is shorter. The problem is that they may not be enough man resource worthy to trust the out going yogis with.
